When I Grow Up

Welcome to my blog!

This is just a short entry to get the proverbial ball rolling - and to put an end to my nervousness of joining the blogging set.

So what can readers expect from this blog? Many things I hope. But if I need to distill its essence into this post, it would be that I believe we should never give up on our dreams. Somewhere along the teen route, the use of our imagination that served us so well as kids now gets admonished by adults, peers and if we're honest, ourselves. To put away childish things is supposedly utterly necessary in order to become successful and popular adults.

But is it?

So many teens do just this only to realize that somewhere in their 20's or 30's that they're not entirely happy. So out come the new books, clothes, toys etc, in order to capture that lost innocence. But what I'm here to say is that it doesn't have to be this way. You can become mature without always being serious. You can succeed at school and at work without losing your daydreams. "When I grow up..." should always be a part of your daily reverie, regardless of your age.

I look forward to flying that flag in my own little way with this blog. I hope you can pop by from time to time and regress a little with me.
